Thanks for sharing! I really appreciate your honesty in your posts.

Shortly after I read this entry I came across a similar post from the Resurgence. I would presume a similar article could be written about being a mom. http://theresurgence.com/2011/05/10/being-a-wife-is-all-about-jesus

I particularly liked this:

” A marriage license and a sparkling ring do not automatically transform a woman into a wife who honors God. The grace offered and the righteousness bestowed at the cross is what makes you a godly wife who willingly subjects herself to her husband. Dying to yourself because the Savior died for you is the call for the biblical wife. Your marriage will thrive because of life found in Christ; recognizing your daily need for a Savior and dependant upon his righteousness alone.”

I just saw Courageous this past weekend, and would recommend it for all the dads out there (and moms!)….but, a warning, bring kleenex!!!

So being a Shane and Shane fan, I was eager to watch this video . . . and I loved it for so many reasons. As I watched and felt my desires for my kids and my own life to find sufficiency in Christ along, I definitely shed a few tears.

Thanks for sharing this! Ifound this very encouraging. I could definitely relate to the “watching my daughter play” part. It’s good to know I’m not alone in the struggle. I have also been encouraged with giving God the time and TRUSTING be will be faithful to provide.
